Deposits, payment plans and instalments are native rather than bolted on, which matters enormously when you're selling a retreat at a price point people need time to commit to. Having the site, the commerce and the guest management in one system has removed a whole layer of admin we'd quietly accepted as unavoidable. The booking journey feels considered from the guest's side too — people arrive at checkout already confident, rather than wondering whether the page they've landed on is legitimate. The support through onboarding and migration has been the other standout. Questions get answered by people who understand the experience business, not just the software. > > **Puntos en contra**: Design flexibility is the trade-off. Coming from WordPress, where we could shape any page exactly as we wanted it, the templated approach takes some adjusting to. There were a few layouts we'd built over the years that we had to rethink rather than replicate. In fairness, most of what we lost was detail only we noticed, and the structure Easol imposes has probably made the site clearer. But if you have a very particular design vision, expect to compromise on some of it. > > We run trauma-resolution surf retreats in Morocco, so our booking process carries more weight than most — people are often making a significant decision at a vulnerable point in their lives, and the path from interest to booking needs to feel safe and unambiguous. Easol has given us that. Moving across from WordPress was real work, and we went into it with a full content audit and redirect map rather than assuming it would happen by itself. That preparation paid off. What we have now is one platform doing the job that previously needed a website, a separate booking system and a payments workaround held together with goodwill.
