Having everything integrated in one system has radically improved our working processes. I have a very small team and reducing our admin load means we can spend more of our time doing the really important stuff like meeting donors and creating inspiring campaigns - which is also what we enjoy most.

We probably weren't fully prepared for the workload involved in verifying new members to the online community and this has made us review exactly when we fully launch the portal to our whole alumni community.

It is an all-in-one system that we can use to engage further with our past students and donors. We transferred over 10,000 records, and each time we send an email out, our data gets cleaned up by people directly updating their details. The daily automated emails you can set up are great and the data stored is easy to access and report on. Their support team and the customer manager you are assigned are outstanding. They reply to your emails and are always available for a training session where required.

I don't really have any cons; the only two things I think that could be improved in time are; when setting up an email ready for sending, you cannot send yourself or others in your team a test email directly from the template and the other would be to be able to add more than one picture in a news article without setting up a gallery. However, these are minor when you look at all the advantages you gain from the overall ToucanTech system.

Great staff, always keen to help and get back to you. There are lots of training videos and guides.

As with any database, it won't always do what you want it to do, but the team work hard to get fixes in place where possible. The cost is probably market average, but it is still a big investment.

It does everything we need it to do. Great as a database, newsletter facility, bespoke website, events & fundraising platform.

When I’m not using functions every day it’s sometimes tricky to remember the source for alterations.

Detailed help guides and a generally logical system that's easy to use. Responsive support team that are always available to help when you occasionally get stuck! Also the design team have been very helpful in totally changing the look and feel of the site for the better.

Occasionally you might want enhancements or new functionality that is more unique to your institution. These understandibly take longer to implement but are always taken into consideration and logged.

The wide range of functionality sometimes means a lack of flexibility

ToucanTech meets all the needs of our school fundraising, alumni and community engagement programs. It is incredibly intuitive and - because it is purpose-designed for an organisation like ours - pretty much everything just works as it should right from the outset. The support team are extremely responsive and are also proactive in offering help and suggestions. We have barely needed any assistance from our IT team. Useful new functionality is constantly being added, and I'd like to see our school expand use further, for example to manage the whole school website and/or to manage admissions as that module gets finalised.

Nothing of any note. A couple of minor and inconsequential bugs were quickly sorted.

Our alums love learning about the university/industry/geographic Hubs they can join to connect them with other alumni. They are always keen to learn how they can use the platform to network. The Resources section, with digitized yearbooks, is also very popular, as are the Photo Galleries. It was very easy to migrate our data at the beginning.

There are many features that I forget to use, but ToucanTech sends out newsletters with examples from other schools that are always so useful.

Ability to create and email excellent digital newsletters to membership

Data issues. We import via Wonde from our school database, but there is a need to amend the data and add in missing fields.

ToucanTech software is intuitive and straightforward to use. I was able to get up and running quickly with minimal tuition and start making a difference for my business from day 1. The support team at ToucanTech are very approachable and have answered any queries quickly, even at night. The customised email feature with various templates and filters helped to personalise and maximise the impact of each communication.

Initially I experienced some minor limitations to customised layout and image display which were quickly and proactively fixed by the ToucanTech support team. New features are being developed continuously.

We find the Galleries page very popular with alumni.No problems with integration.Customer support is excellent.

No major complaints.To keep the site relevant and attract hits requires a lot of staff time - but that would apply to other providers.

News, events, obituaries are easy to add

It takes a little time to get trained up but once you are familiar with the system it is fine

There is something of a knowledge curve because the system is so deeply versatile. However, great customer support and training enabled the transition to occur smoothly.

ToucanTech provides a lot of flexibility in designing and tailoring the web site and data that can be held. It does this in a way that is reasonably intuitive and easy to learn. Support team are very helpful.

I have found certain usability aspects of the general reporting function a little frustrating, but this is a minor quibble and may be addressed by a new reporting interface which has been rolled out.

I like the user friendly platform. I think every organisation has different needs and TT are first class at customer service. We have not used it to the full, but are trying to engage our users and drive traffic to the platform. The database is excellent for segmenting and creating a pipeline.

I do realise that I need to learn more on reporting to present to our board. I would like to see families recognised in the database for fundraising as we work with the family unit.
